Well keeping with tradition it's been a few days short of a year so time for my next journal entry.

Remember I mentioned in my last entry that I told my husband our first child would be born by 12/13/08. Well we beat it. I didn't know it at the time but when I wrote my last entry I was pregnant with our daughter Harley. Harley was born on Feb 29th, 2008. I knew from day one she would be born on leap years and she didn't disappoint. Originally my due date was March 4th but she didn't feel like waiting.

Funny thing about this pregnancy, I have a cousin that has always been in a sort of a non competitive competition with me. You see I am three years younger then him but I graduated high school first, I got married first and he wanted a first. Turns out me and his then girlfriend now wife, were both pregnant and BOTH of us due on the 4th. I was really hoping he'd take the lead in the competition and he did for awhile when his wife moved her due date up to the 1st. But when I went for my first sonogram they told me that my date had also shoved up to the first on the monitor but they would keep it the 4th. Unfortunately for my cousin though, I won the delivery race.

We have also expanded our feline family. Like I mentioned I was looking into getting a Siamese cat. Well we got a female blue point Siamese whom we named Sake. And never have we regretted her name. You know how sometime you'll name an animal and there personalities don't quite match ie; Rambo to a lazy dog. Bruiser to a really tame dog. Well no worries with this cat. You would swear she has been drinking Sake since day one. She is the most ungraceful cat I have ever seen.
